About Me

My name is Alexei Rojas, a professional goalkeeper for Arsenal FC and proud to represent Colombia

at international youth level.

I was born in England, raised in a family with deep Colombian and Russian roots, and I’ve been chasing footballs (and big dreams) ever since I could walk.

My Background

Family Roots:

I was born in England to a Colombian dad and Russian mum. I’m lucky to be able to play for England, Russia, or Colombia—but my heart is with Colombia 🇨🇴

My journey started like many kids — playing for local teams like Boreham Wood and London Colney Colts. From there, I earned a spot in Chelsea’s academy, and eventually joined Arsenal in 2019, where I’ve been growing ever since — both as a goalkeeper and as a person.

My Journey to the Top

In 2019, I signed with Arsenal , a club with world-class coaches and a strong belief in youth development. It was a massive moment for me — and it marked the beginning of the next chapter.

At Arsenal, I’ve played across different age groups, including the U18s, U21s , and in the UEFA Youth League. I’ve also had the opportunity to train with the first team and even travel on pre-season tour with them — a huge honour and a big step in my development.

Internationally, I’ve been fortunate to represent

England, Russia, and now Colombia at youth level. In 2023, I played in the South American U20 Championship, helping Colombia secure a place in the U20 World Cup.

Wearing that jersey and singing the anthem was a feeling I’ll never forget.

But this is just the beginning. I’m training every day to reach the next level — and I’m committed to becoming the best version of myself, for my team, for my country, and for everyone who believes in me.

A Message to Young Players & Parents

To Young Players:

If you're a young footballer reading this — know that your dreams are valid. I started out just like you: playing on muddy pitches, watching my heroes on TV, and imagining what it would feel like to walk out in a big stadium one day.

What I’ve learned is this: it’s not about being perfect — it’s about showing up every day, working on your basics, listening to your coaches, and believing in yourself when no one’s watching.

Some days will be tough. Some games won’t go your way. But every challenge is a chance to grow. Keep going, stay humble, and remember: football should be fun. That joy is your superpower.

To Parents:

Behind every young footballer is often a family making sacrifices — driving to training, cheering from the sidelines, offering support in the quiet moments. I’m incredibly grateful to my parents for believing in me, keeping me grounded, and reminding me that who I am matters more than what I achieve.

To all the parents out there: your encouragement makes a bigger difference than you know. Keep supporting their dreams — not just through wins, but through the setbacks too. Help them love the journey, not just the destination.

Thank you for being part of the team behind the team.
